I just checked and everything is there as it should be (almost a 2GB archive of all the old forum for off-line browsing). It's just One Drive decided the link to it needed to change for whatever inexplicable reason they come up with. It's crazy, but that's just on-line storage nowadays. /sigh ![]() RE: QB64.org - SpriggsySpriggs - 11-06-2024 Does that link contain the email addresses in plain text like RC's? It's just an archive/rip of the same site which you linked to. There's no private information stored whatsoever in that link. Only public posts. RE: QB64.org - Jack - 11-06-2024 I just tried the link and for a split second I could see the archive then it would hide it and tell me that the resource could not be found, then I opened the link in a private browser and was able to download the file, go figure RE: QB64.org - DANILIN - 11-06-2024 Archive almost 2 GB? Download is problematic and probably will repeat my collection My 1GB collection is compressed with 7z into a archive 20 MB Is your archive compressed? RE: QB64.org - Keybone - 11-24-2024 Speaking of archives, there used to be a place to get what was left of the qb64.net forum. does that still exist? No pete I was looking for the .net archive that used to be floating around. some of my old code i was working on was still there. It all got deleted from my computer a long time ago. There's only a few pages of that old stuff that got preserved; it was basically the same as what you see if you use the Internet Wayback Machine, which is why I ended up getting rid of the older copies of the archive which I keep around for quite some time. OldDosLover was the one who did the forum backups back then, and he only had the settings for something like "3 pages deep"... Which meant you only got the first 30 replies to any topic at most, and that number dropped by 10, for each page deep it was on the forums. Wasn't enough of it left to preserve the things that I cared about being preserved, so I just didn't bother to float that archive around as I swapped out computers and drives and other junk over the last dozen or so years that .net has been gone and lost to us. |
