Some Interesting Tutorial Stats - TerryRitchie - 01-07-2024

I use Google Analytics to track information about the tutorial site. Here are some interesting stats for last year:

Unique users: 4300
Site visits: 64000

See image below for all the countries that users hailed from.

Even from Russia there were still 136 visitors! If  Putin knew that.  Big Grin

@Kernelpanic 135 might be the country ID not number of users. It looks like 100 thousands and millions eg US?

But how is India > France? I see no commas.

update again:
OK the IDs are in reverse order and India is not > France.

Is Russia and UK > the US?

Ah yes, that's right. Should be under User. Then it would be even more 4.40... USA 1.02? The whole number is missing.

Putin musta stole em.

Under users is a percentage increase. The numbers are skewed because I chose the entire last year. The analytics interface is not very helpful in this regard when viewing past metrics as it takes the entire period you are looking at as a whole. To be frank a lot of the data analytics provides is somewhat mysterious. I guess you need a bean counter degree to make sense of a lot of it.

I got an email from him a while back. He was wondering if QB64 would run on his Antonov CCP-PII 666Mhz system running Lindows 2.3. I told him to ask his buddy Kim that got it running on an NKP4 900Mhz running Oppressive Linux for help.

With that you are at the NKWD, no wait. . . KGB. . . No, neither, now I have it: You are now noted at the FSB.  Confused

Has Russia Today already asked you whether you could come to Moscow for an interview? Hands off!
The flight would continue straight away to Siberia. Welcome to the Gulag!  Tongue

I can't tell if you're joking?

On the tutorial site at the bottom of the forward page is this: " I don't care what nationality you hail from or your country's political status. All are welcome here. "

As I see it, governments don't visit the tutorial and use QB64PE, it's people that do. I don't agree with many of the governments around the world, heck even my own government gets my goat at times, but the people under those governments are always welcome, this includes Russians.

I've been to many countries around the world and met many different people thanks to my time in the Marine Corps. The people of those countries are trying to get by and live life the same as the rest of us.
