Merry Christmas Globes! - SierraKen - 12-19-2024

Here are 4 globes bouncing around the screen with a "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" in huge letters. I don't use fonts in this one, instead I used POINT. Check it out! This is probably my best Christmas one so far. I'll put it with the Christmas Code forum area as well.

Update: I just added a Christmas song to it and zipped it with the .bas file to download here. The file is called: Ken's Christmas Globes 2.zip

Update again: I thought the .exe was the .bas file, sorry about that! So I just replaced the .exe with the .bas and uploaded it again here.

Enjoy!

Here is a video I made of it to show people that don't use QB64. The zip file with the song is on the first post.

Too much snow in your video! I can't see a thing!

Hey, what happens to Frosty the Snowman when he loses his snow balls? He ends up with snow kids. Big Grin

Pete

- Looking forward to the vid.

Sorry about that Pete. I replaced the video with a URL instead.

Nice but no .bas source.

All I care about are screenshots or video demos. @SierraKen Here is a tip for posting a YouTube video:

Click the film reel icon next to the smiley face when making a new post. That will show a little dropdown window with a place to paste your video link and pick the source. Select YouTube. That will embed the video in your post so people can watch it without leaving this page.

It will then look like this:

LOL Thanks B+, I thought the .exe was the .bas file LOL. So I just replaced the .exe with the .bas file and uploaded it to the first post, thanks for telling me.

Spriggs, yeah I did that originally but Pete sounded like it was too hard to see, so I erased it and put the URL instead so people can see a larger view of it, but thanks. Smile

I'm glad you both like it. Smile Merry Christmas!

I'll bet it was because your video was still processing or something. It looks fine and can be made fullscreen. I'm not sure what problem Pete was having.

RE: Merry Christmas Globes! - SierraKen - 12-19-2024

Ah maybe so, thanks.

I'll +1 Spriggsy for saving me the trouble of going over to that damn commie YouTube site.

+2 to Ken because I really, really liked the globe effect!
