I thought Debby didn't do Ohio. Hope Dav and Steve stay dry, and online, the next few days.

I keep thinking there should be an algebraic solution to this problem, but the days of pounding out those formulas are behind me. The last monster I tackled was in the pre-presonal computer days, when I was able to calculate mortgage principle and interest repayments using geometric progressions. I was within pennies of the results in the bank books. Fun times. 

I don't have any leftover apples for the donkey, but I gave you a +1 for taking care of him for me.

Thankyou, I don't think it was Debby directly, just a powerful storm that blew through our area in an hour with winds up to 70 MPH, allot of people lost power for over a day. Left a mess of broken limbs and leaves, a pile next to every storm sewer grate. The rain turned the front yard into a puddle. I guess we were lucky just losing the phone/cable connection.

So far, they're claiming we've had over 6 inches of rain, with 3 more inches due tonight, and I have no idea how much for tomorrow.  Lots of flood warnings, but Steve sits atop a mountain of freestone granite.  I *suppose* it might rain enough to flood my home, but at 4000ish feet above sea level, and about 800 feet above all the surrounding valleys, I imagine all YOU guys would end up floating away before I'd need to finish building an ark for all my livestock and me...

Our power might go out, but it's summer time.   Meh.
My internet might cut out...  but then I'd just have a break for a while and get to sleep in late.
Zombies might climb down from the hills, but I'm a farmer who now lives alone.  I guess I have about 800 years worth of canned goods me and my dog can survive off from...

So, unless it just rains enough to turn solid granite to mud, and my home slides down into the bottom of the valley, you don't have to worry about old Steve.  Ain't nothing no pesty rain show can toss at me up here where I'm living!

Glad you are in good shape. Idiot news reporters make it seem like 99% of Americans live in or near ravines. Global Warming bullshit. Category 1 storms are made out to sound like Andrew these days. I'd be happy to see all the climate hype die an ugly death, but until it does, you just can't be sure if anyone really is or is not in harms way.

Now where's Dav?
