The constant tiredness will get better with each passing day. The right opportunity to read a book that is not about Basic. If you are interested in history, especially American history, I can recommend a book: Battle Cry of Freedom - The Civil War Era, James M McPherson, 1988. A very good book about America and its history. Of course I have the German edition, for the original my English is not good enough. The German edition, if anyone is interested: Für die Freiheit sterben All the best! Aytch" by Samuel R. Watkins, available for free here https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/13202 It's a firsthand account by a soldier who found himself fighting for the wrong side, and it's fascinating (and quite horrific at points)! I had read about it before, thanks for the reminder. I just ordered the book - it's also available in German. Co. Aytch: Erinnerungen eines Konföderierten an den Bürgerkrieg Thanks for the tip! RE: He is come back! - Kernelpanic - 09-21-2022 History has always interested me. Through "Co.Aytch" I came across other interesting books about the American Civil War, and I ordered two of them - in German (of course there are also the originals): Einer von Hoods Texanern: Ein Veteran der 5th Texas Infantry Maismehl & Wasser: Das Alltagsleben des konföderierten Soldaten RE: He is come back! - madscijr - 09-22-2022 (09-21-2022, 11:28 PM)Kernelpanic Wrote: History has always interested me. Here is one I just came across, "Hardtack and Coffee". I wonder how any of this can find its way into a QB64 program? Maybe a simulatiom, or a text adventure in that setting... What about our super moderator? Is he still there, or is he already "East of Eden"? Maybe he needs a little encouragement: |
