are the forums having technical issues?

I posted a program to Works in Progress but my message is appearing blank.

It seems like the editor buttons aren't working right now either, maybe the forums site in general is having issues?

I had an issue yesterday, where I was not able to Select All from a post that someone had made (though I could select from other posts ok).
I advised the Poster of this, but later found my post had been deleted. I don't know if my post was deemed unacceptable or too trivial, or who deleted it.

@PhilOfPerth, I would be very surprised if one of your posts was deemed unacceptable!  Wink
My suspicion is that the forum server might need a reboot or some such tweak.
I'll wait and see if Steve or one of the guys weighs in, they usually figure these things out before long...

That was me; I deleted Phil's post.  Wink

The issue there was simply the formatting was screwed up.  The original poster had created a code box and then pasted the code AFTER the code box.

Imagine the layout like:
[codebox] [end codebox]
code

The code should've been between those two formatting commands, but wasn't, which created the blank code box Phil copied.

Phil has a tendency to quote an entire post, without regard to length or scrolling, and that's what he did here just to basically say, "Your code box is broken."

I fixed the codebox by just moving the code inside it, then deleted Phil's long quote and post as it wasn't relevant anymore.

Just basic forum maintenance and junk.  Wink

Sorry 'bout that Chief!
I just thought it would be easier to figure out if I showed his report.
The quote was only about 5 lines, I think.
It won't happen again.  Sad
