Let's learn about waveforms

My scatter-brained self, as I was studying QB64's SOUND and PLAY statements, and the "Web Audio API", got caught up in sound theory in general and then waveforms in particular.

Would you think a waveform could predict it's source? Would the wave formed by a trump be some distinctive that an AI could predict it accurately as the source of the sound? Do all things making sound produce a distinctive sound? Can you tell I haven't full read the Waveform info you have provided?

I suppose sound can get as fancy or more so than graphics and I suspect Petr ahead of the game in this subject.
