Search field on site
#1
Sorry guys,

I don't know if this is the correct forum, but does anyone know, how I can delete suggestions in the search field on the top of this site? "Operating system" always pops out when I am entering the field.

The browser history, cache and cookies are already deleted for the whole time. I am using an actual Chrome browser on Windows 11.

When I click the empty search box, I get the past history of search terms in drop down list and the search box remains empty. (Opera browser in Windows 10 laptop.)
But I have been very frustrated myself searching for things I posted some time ago eg like comparing Const colors in &HH... format and comparing with POINT returns.

This is not the case for you?

Happy New Year! Cybermonkey good to see you are still around.

Hi bplus,

I also wish a Happy New Year! Of course to all of you.  Smile

I hope I can do more QB64 coding in 2024. Too less time in 2023 ...  Rolleyes

And no, I don't need/like the drop down list, but I think it's a browser thing. It's still there in Chrome.

Yep!  Sounds like something I'd search for here on the QB64PE forums!   LOL!

No idea how the heck this thing generates its pop up list, and I personally have no idea how the heck to do anything about it.  My best advice at the moment?  Just whistle innocently, pretend you can't see it, and type what you're actually looking for into the search field without paying any attention to its suggestions.

Just checked our admin settings for us.  There's nothing readily available for us to edit or change to alter that search bar.   I've no idea why it's now appearing, making the suggestions it is, nor how to get rid of it.  Just try to ignore it.
