this is just for information.  a curious thing.  is trying to compile some of these programs posted in 2022.  on qb64pe 4.0 or later.

this program's executable on linux.  gives a runtime error having to do with _mem.  i had to temporarily install qb64pe 3.4 to be able to run this program successfully.  after it was compiled.

but again i emphasize.  this was a card for 2022.  not for this year.

I totally forgot about this card.  I think it's because of the _INFLATE command.  There was a change in how that works and we had to start giving the original file size when inflating.  INFLATE isn't making a correct string for MEM to use here.  After the change I tried to update all my posted code, must have missed this program.   I will update it and get it working in the latest QB64PE version.  Thanks for letting me know.

I fixed the 2022 Christmas Card program to work in the latest QB64-PE.  You can download it on the first post.

Thanks @hsiangch_ong for informing me of the error!

In the pre-personal computer era, you needed to have a friend in a printer shop to make this possible. In college I had a guy who worked in such a place. My wife and I, just married a year, gave him a dollar for our first Christmas tree. I was wondering how he could get a tree for a dollar, but it turned out he just chopped one down off the side of a mountain road. Steve would hate this guy!!! Anyway, he made all of his friends custom x-mas cars that year...

I'd like to see AI beat that. Anyway, this revived post did rattle my memory for one of the few SCREEN 0 animated x-mas cards I created: https://qb64phoenix.com/forum/showthread...6#pid30816

Nothing compared to Dav and TheBOB, but I didn't have to part with a 6-pack of Heineken to get it made. Oh, that's how I got all my printing for my various organizations when the guy I mentioned should have been printing college materials.

Oh I forgot about those  too -  I need to fix those midis, the ones i posted Do not recognize the pianos sustain pedal when playing back, so the songs sound staccato too much.  I will fix and post them in the open general area.
