_SndPlayFile not starting sound file
#11
One thing to note with the "QB64 won't play all mp3 files"...   That was an issue with the old versions of QB64 and the old audio backend.  The new libraries we link to don't have that same issue.  Just as we've recently gained access to FLAC, MID,  XM, RIF, and all those other formats, newer versions of QB64PE should load whichever mp3 you toss at it, without issue.  Wink

You could then load into your program the essences of the MP3 sound and have your program play that sound over and over again to the time of the original MP3 sound file??? or this pretty well impossible to do.
You've essentially described how an old-school music tracker worked. A few sounds are sampled and then assembled by the tracker to make a complete song. .MOD files were very popular tracker songs back in the day.
