I had this on cartridge for Color Computer 3. Good fun and I even liked the boring sound effects.

I had thought he was one of the authors of Demolition Derby LOL. That also came on cartridge, took advantage of the CRT idiosyncrasies to have four colors, black, white, "red" and "blue", out of the 256x192 screen with two colors. This game had the protagonist as a racecar in a wide race track going against gas trucks and other rogue cars. Could crash and lose 1UP going off the track or running into a junk pile or a traffic island, or into a fast-running ambulance. Crash the rogue cars to get points and the gas truck to get more gas, needed for "turbo boost". If the car runs out of gas player loses 1UP. There was also a two-player "versus" mode. The "finish line" was at 100k points; at that point the cartridge code sabotages itself then one could only turn off the computer or press the computer's "reset" button.

I recall Steve and Marty Goodman attended a San Mateo coco users group around 1986. Steve demonstrated an awesome mouse driver.  Very gifted programmer. Rip. The
