A New Game: The Sentinel, Attack of the Circles
#1
Deep in the African jungle, high in his tree-top lab, NakedApe has been hard at work on his next space game. This is my first attempt at 3D - well, 3D Lite for the mathematically challenged anyway. I tried to keep this fast-paced since attention spans are short. This has one-handed mode for easier play too. Thanks to bplus for help with circle aspects, SierraKen for the globe routine and Steve for bits of code off the forum.  This looked best at higher rez, so I made it 1920x1080.

It's a work in progress and I plan to take it a little further, so feel free to tell me what it's missing or not. Thanks for playing.
Ted

Does it have a spaceship flying with a banner that reads "<-- STEVE IS AMAZING"??

I feel that would really improve anything...   Big Grin Wink

This is really awesome! The looks are incredible, but I can't figure out the controls. I tried reading the instructions in the beginning but the arrow keys don't do too much and the W key only shoots sometimes. If the movement and shooting can be fixed, I think it would be pretty fun. Smile

I guess I need to beef up the instructions. The lasers only fire when the ship is lined up with the target. So use the 'A' and "D' keys to spin the ship till they're aligned plus or minus 10 degrees, then the radar line turns green, and the purple targeting laser lights up and tracks the bad guy. Then fire! If the ship is rotating clockwise and the target is moving counter-clockwise, then hit the 'S' key to switch directions. Use the space radar and gauges to track what's going on. The arrow keys are for dodging bombs mostly - and grabbing the falling booty if you're in two-hand mode. Hitting the 'Z' key turns on auto-dodge which makes it easier to play.

Thanks for trying it!
