The editor does it for you when you hit 'reply', then it's a pain to edit it all back out if you're in a hurry, especially if you're replying using a smartphone with a tiny little screen.
It would be cool if the forum had some handy checkbox or something next to the reply button, to choose "only quote what the person wrote most recently instead of the whole damn thread", LOL
