There is no reason to stay on XP. Unless you are relying on an industrial control app. My work relied on XP and a parallel port CNC controller. I was tasked to find a modern solution to this hardware. Turns out the CNC software company made a new version for get this Win 10. Win 11 most likely will work. If it wasn't for the TPM requirements. The parallel port problem really wasn't. A USB to PP port converter specified supported by CNC software was real cheap. My reason to stay on XP is no more.
All the more reason to drop XP. Are you using it on the internet ? If you are (getting hacked by) "a drive by", it will happen. Not if. Will happen. Look into clonezilla as a 1:1 backup and save free solution. Saved my ass a couple of times from stupid behind the keyboard users.
