+1 @madscijr I will requote!
again not exactly being positive but I think people need to be warned.
Holy ship! I think thats what crapped out my old Dell! I hadn't used it for awhile and when I went to check it at my new place it was emptied, wiped clean!
+1 Steve mystery solved, I knew MS did something to it on an update probably.
I guess I've got more worries down the line because I think I checked yes to syncing when setting up new computer or syncing to phone maybe?
You might know or remember me as the one who gets impatient with walls of words specially setting up new computer and having a ton of other stuff to do when moving in, then there was another ton of stuff to do to get old place ready to sell, sheesh!
I think I did Uninstall OneDrive or disabled it as much as I could. BTW I just got Outlook back after 30 day wait. I moved at the end of May.
The new computer was handy at my first chemo last week.
Quote:I really hated OneDrive, BTW, not just because of the endless nagging to pay for more storage, but because they effing repoint your Documents, Pictures, etc. folders to a different folder under OneDrive. It's SO invasive. If they would just let you use it like dropbox where you tell it what folders to sync, and don't move your stuff, that wouldn't be so damn irritating.

Quote:My problem with OneDrive is it's a f'n virus. Worst virus I've ever had on my PC.
Problem is it likes to upload crap to the cloud.
Then it deletes crap off your PC to save room, and marks it "download on demand".
Issue comes if you have multiple PCs and then they start trying to sync and sort crap out.

Quote:Never had any virus eat as much of my stuff as I've had microsoft destroy with OneDrive. I don't care if they give me 100 PB of web storage. It's never going back on my PC ever again.
