@bert22306 good point about the Windows registry - the fact that the EXE just runs and no "installation" is needed is one of the best unsung features of QB64 & QB64PE. And the fact that it's all there - editor, compiler, debugger- in that one EXE makes it super easy to use. There's no confusing toolchain to figure out or set up (like that other free BASIC... oops did I just give the name away?
) But seriously, the ease of installing & running the program itself saves a lot of brain cycles for doing the actual programming.
