I really appericate your help. I didn't know calling the functions from the DLL was a bust. Ah well I did it as a coding exercise. As I said QB64 isn't my main programming language, but QBasic was my first programming language. I mainly use OpenEuphoria now along with C/C++ and some C#. I did read in the docs that you can call or translate C functions into QB64. No worries, no need to rush I've got time.
My sigil wrapper was much easier and it works fine. Then Sigil is only so many lines and is easily wrapped or ported to almost anything since it has such a simple design.
