Happy to help, when I can.  FWIW, I've pushed the changes into the repo to swap us from PRINT to PUT for our save method.  File save times should be about twice as fast now for everyone, straight out of the box.  For specific use needs, such as your saving across network, folks might still want to tweak the process manually, but for the vast majority of users, they should see a nice reduction in save times.
