A case of perfect timing on your part, @Richard. The post you're talking about was archived as it was related to our "First Edition", and we've had another version put out since then -- Phoenix Edition v0.5.0. The way it was worded and all, I didn't want folks to mistake it as a thread and link to the new release. ?

(Almost) perfect timing on <your> part! I just tried for 10 minutes to try to find what his problem was, and couldn't find it either lol.

So does that mean that the download I did was a "waste of time" (and internet data)?

Like it does say (actually running qb64.exe) v0.5.0 just below the status bar.

Now I am totally confused!!!

If you click the About, and it says "version 0.5" in there, you have the latest version. Sorry for any confusion -- that's why I was cleaning up that old post to keep folks from getting confused and grabbing the wrong files.

If ever in doubt, always check the Release page. You can see a summery of the update there and see the date of release for each package. https://github.com/QB64-Phoenix-Edition/QB64pe/releases
