Problem loading pages.

I've had three error-messages in the last few minutes: Unable to load this page (or something similar). Anyone else, or is it just me???
Trying to see last post to threads.

(Edit: twice more since then)!

@PhilOfPerth is it still happening? Site is working OK for me.

Can you provide more information on what is going on, like a screenshot, or a capture of text output?

Thanks

Thanks grymmjack; this morning things seem to be back to normal, so far.
Maybe it was to do with something running in the background, I dunno.
If it happens again I'll try to get more info.
Thanks for the reply.

One important thing to keep in mind when this type of thing happens:

Quote:Today, 03:11 AM (This post was last modified: Today, 03:16 AM by PhilOfPerth.)

That's right when the servers does their automated stuff for us. From 2:00AM to about 4:00AM, the server does the automated software updates, and back-ups, and whatever the else it does in the form of maintaince for us. From 2AM to 4AM, I'd consider any sort of hiccups to probably just be some automated update shutting something down, installing itself, and then bringing things back up.

Usually these little updates only take a few moments at a time, so if you're browsing heavily, it'd behave more-or-less exactly as you describe: "I've had three error-messages in the last few minutes: Unable to load this page (or something similar)..." -- a few minutes of interrupted connectivity, followed by the ability to log in and successfully post a question about what just happened.

Just consider those early morning hours to be *The Witching Hours* for us, and if things fail, go pee in the coffee maker and get a drink from the toilet (or something like that), and then see if the issue persists after you get back and are a little more awake at 3 in the morning! Wink

From 2:00AM to about 4:00AM is probably mid-day for PhilOfPerth.

Ok thanks!
But I don't have a coffee-maker, so can I just play solitaire for a while?  Big Grin
