Shouldn't the slider bar show min/max range on the left/right ends of the bar?

It does! Just put the slider bar at the min or max positions. ;-))

I want to keep it uncluttered with numbers but I suppose you could say in label:
   
b = b + ...

It does, it's just coded in font-size 4!

It happens to be, yes but Linux should be able to do it too (specially through Wine, but does that count to Linux people? LOL).

We will see how Ken's Artillery likes sliders and then Big Surprise! (If all goes well and why not?)
