All BASIC Game Jam

Quote:Damn it forum has to make up its mind to put extra lines between paragraphs! Write directly into the "word processor" of this forum and doesn't do it. Paste from text editor into the "word processor" and does it...

This is probably an artifact of your line endings. I imagine the forum is Linux-based and uses only CHR$(10) line endings. It sounds like your word processor is using both CHR$(13) and CHR$(10) line endings, which is causing that extra space when copy/pasted. Might want to see if your word processor has an option to modify that before posting in the forums here.

Thank you for your reply to teach me something and how fast it was.

One week until the game jam starts!  I'm thinking about doing a top-down space shooter with asteroids-style physics and SNES-level graphics? (Of course this is assuming I can make that work with what is selected for the theme.)  Anyone else have an early concept of what you might make?

I was dreaming to fix my imagination about a catch/click on target game or a ride game... but the theme is crucial for adapting that to one of these two mechanics of game

The jam has officially started.  One month to submit a completed game!  The theme options the organizer selected are: Random, Escape, Powerful.  I'm leaning towards using Escape as the main theme for my entry.  Looking through free game assets on opengameart.org and brainstorming main game mechanics.

At first opengameart.org looked like great resource, then I see this at top of Forum Page:

What is NFT? what is Fungible? What is "like cryptocurrencies" Why do I need a lawyer to post code?

All of the licenses for the assets on the site are pretty clearly stated (most of which use Creative Commons from what I've seen).  You can even filter your searches by license type.  Most of the submitters just want credit if you use their assets.

You don't need a lawyer @bplus (unless you are trying to use the artwork for your black-market cryptocurrency generation scheme).

Hi,
I have taken spritesheet from the same itch.io, there are some very fine and free.
Does who of QB64 coders, that are on this websites, take a change to publish his game in theme?

Happy coding friends
