Inform for QB64pe Script fix
#11
Let me help you out here, Cage.

Try http://l7d.ddns.net/

Fifi needs to add an .htaccess redirect for his www. links. In his case, I just removed the www. part.

Fifi, I had the same problem that I had when you posted that site a month or two ago.  Says Site Not Found. Just thought I would let you know.  Thank you for your reply though.

Cage

Hi Cage,
I just double checked right now (Friday october 21, 2022 at 2:37 French time) from my iPhone and it works fine.
You can try these two address: http://l7d.ddns.net as well as http://iss2you.ddns.net which both point to the same QB64 dedicated web page of my home web server.
Further, I also double checked with No-Ip.com and I'm up to date with them for these two address.
Please keep me posted if you still have a problem when typing directly the address in your browser address entry field.
Cheers.
Fifi
EDIT: I also updated www.isstoyou.com (aka https://isstoyou.com)

Hi Pete,
Thank you for the help.
I just modified the link as per your suggestion.
However, I'm not an expert with web sites.
So, what should I write in the .httaccess file that was supposed to be managed by MAMP Pro?
In any event, thank you again for the tip and for helping Cage.
Cheers.

I posted possible fixes here: https://qb64phoenix.com/forum/showthread...25#pid7725

Depending who your web host service is, you could simply email a request to have them write and load the htaccess file for you. If you have an fttp:// utility, like Filezilla, or your service has cPanel you could write one and upload it yourself. Just be sure to try it out with all possible www. no www. http, https, etc. to make sure they all point to your non-www domain dns.

LoL.  I finally got it downloaded but there is still one small problem.....

--2022-10-20 19:58:32--  (try: 3)  http://192.168.10.101/qb64pe/packages/qb...nx.tar.bz2

Connecting to 192.168.10.101:80... failed: Connection timed out.
Retrying.

After the twentieth failure I stopped the install.  If that site no longer exists then we gave it a college try.  It's not a deal breaker.  However thank you for your efforts though.  Big Grin

QB64PE_install.tar.bz2

I was able to download the above file with FireFox. This forum won't accept the .bz2 extension, so I had to enclose it in 7zip to be able to attach it below. If you can open the 7zip attachment, you can view and extract the QB64PE_install.tar.bz2

EDIT: Steve was able to clear the .bz2 file extension for lift-off, so I replaced my 7-zip tar container with the original QB64PE_install.tar.bz2

Added .bz2 as an acceptable attachment type, with a limit of about 25MB in size.  You can't share all of qb64pe and all its subfolders with that size, but it should easily allow any programs written for QB64 and compressed in bz2 format.

Whenever you guys see this issue, mention it, and we can add other types as needed.  Wink

Try to upload the bz2 now, @Pete, and let me know how it goes.
