Welcome to the forums.

Thank you for the news. I'm more interested in the Linux version of Freebasic.

Can't help saying something about the handle, but does this have to do with the Missouri River?

Great! Thanks for sharing. I had a play real quick, and this is a fantastic package. I was up and running very quickly. So much to go through now.

The IDE is great! I tried the piano project example. Wow. A lot to unpack here Smile

FreeBasic has a dedicated IDE now?

Is it for only Windows?

WinFBE is Windows only but there are several cross platform IDE's available, https://github.com/XusinboyBekchanov/VisualFBEditor , https://www.freebasic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26030 and https://www.freebasic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23935
there's no Official IDE for FB, people are free to choose from the ones available

Used to live on Long Beach Peninsula in Washington at the mouth of the Columbia River.  Moved from there years ago, but kept the handle. As far as Linux, Geany has good support for Free Basic and there is an AppImage of the Poseidon editor. Paul Squires, the author of WinFBE has a long history with BASIC and had written a couple of good IDE's for the Power Basic language before switching to Free Basic. The thing I like about his package is that he includes everything you need in one download and the whole project is written in Free Basic with source code available. Plus is is a damn good, professional quality product.
