If i type the command _FILES$ for example, the underscore doesn't show on the code screen. Version 3.11.0 on Linux. I have *not* used the NOPREFIX$ metacommand.

Are you using a custom font in the IDE?  Not all fonts renderthe underscore properly with PRINT.
