Banner Suggestion

Would there be any interest in a more understated banner for the forum?  Something like:

Only if all the white parts are transparent, so the forums theme color remains visible like with our current banner, IMHO.

And the QB64 should use the colors from our official logo, yours look a bit pale:

I like the bird - the second (higher resolution) example.

The blocky QB64 is horrid. 

The multiple colors (in both) are childish.

I gave up on the banner after the last fiasco with fake votes and everything else.  If someone else wants to deal with it, that's fine.  I'm not bothering with the thing ever again.  It can stay like it is for the next fifty years, for all my interest in changing it.

One thing to note is our double outline.  The white on black ensures that no matter what color/style the user prefers for their theme, it displays properly for them.  The one above would most likely lose its shadowing on a dark theme.

Yes, it is transparent.  You can see this by switching to the dark theme.  I just grabbed the letter colors from the existing banner.  Here it is with the colors you indicated:

Ok, I changed to that banner, maybe a page refresh is required.

Let's see how people react to it, the old banner is backed up just in case...

I was just using the original banner image dimensions.  I was assuming it would be left justified.  Would shortening it cause it to be centered?

The full banner image horizontally spans from the beginning of the "Welcome back, User..." greeting on the left to the end of the "Search" button on the right side. And vertically from the top to the "Portal ... Search ... Member List ..." line.
   
Also it's scaled with the current header size, you can see it when toggling between fullscreen and a smaller window.

So in fact the image would need to be changed, maybe making it the same way as the old one was, place a bird left and right and center the "QB64" and "Phoenix Edition" in between or rethink your work and surprise me. At least it looks ugly, if halfe of the header width is just empty.
