A strange experience with forum posting an image

Hi guys
Today I have posted an image in a thread. I have had this strange experience:
after typing the text I wanted to add an image. That image has already been copied to the clipboard so I have pressed the copy combo (Ctrl+C) while the cursor was at the end of the text written.
I got the inclusion of the file of the image as characters!
I was not able to delete all that massive set of characters. So I have to post it and then I have modified the post to avoid that mess of characters! Then with a second edit of the post I have finally add the image using the button Add image to post.

Yeah it is a dummy behaviour but I think that it is important to stress as issue of user of the forum.

Yep, that's the way the software was designed. You have to use the forum add image methods, not paste. I tried to paste an image years ago and noticed it appeared just fine until I submitted the post, at which point it was posted as the code for the image.

Unfortunately, the developers either never actually got around to adding a paste feature, or we are missing some setting hack in the board software to make it so.

yeah it is a clear issue of some times ago!
Well it is clear to me that also blocking a Pasting action that is not only text is the same problem seen from another point of view.
The editor is not WYSIWYG so it cannot distinguish between text and something else. So all pasted stuff is treated as text.

Thanks for reporting the basis of the issue.
I'll never do again a automatic pasting! The only path is via Button.
