QB64PE Offline Wiki 2024
#1
It's Christmas time in the city!  It's Christmas time in the country!  It's Christmas time all over the woooorld!
So Santa Steve comes bringing toys for all the good little boys and giiiirlds!

(You might have to *really* stretch them to rhyme those lyrics, but they work if you've drunk enough loaded eggnog, I swear!)

This year, there's two versions of the offline wiki for everyone to grab and play around with, if they're interested.  The first has all the embedded HTTrack stuff in it, so you can grab it, download a copy of HTTrack, and then use the .whtt to mirror the site yourself whenever you want.  It's got all the proper flags set and everything else, and it's configured for "update and replace", so it grabs new stuff and changes without having to redownload the stuff that it has that's already up to date for it.   A fresh mirror usually takes me about a day to run; by updating last year's mirror, this only took a few hours.  (I went to bed and let it run so I don't know how long exactly it takes.  I got up after a nap with my doggy and it was done.)

The second version has all that stripped out and is much smaller in size.  It should still have all the wiki information in it, but not all the HTTrack stuff.  If you're not interested in ever cloning or mirroring the site yourself, then feel free to grab it for personal use.  It's much smaller and more portable for folks to make use of.

And, if you just like being a "Keeper of Just in Case", feel free to grab *both* versions!  I won't get upset at you, if decide to hold onto both.  After all, over the ages since QB64 started, we've only lost the wiki and the forums a dozen times now...  It's one reason why I push to preserve things like this.  IF the worst ever happens, it's always nice to have these back ups and offline versions to get everything back up and running again.  It was the offline wiki that saved our bacon when the last website disappeared all at once, so let's make certain we keep it available and as up-to-date as possible, "just in case".

Pick and choose what you want.  The files are attached below:

Attached Files
.7z   QB64PE Wiki (Complete HTTrack).7z (Size: 63.95 MB / Downloads: 25)

Great work Steve!  Thanks for all the time and effort you've obviously put in. Have a great Christmas.

It does.  I waited until 4.0 was complete before grabbing out offline version.  Wink
