AM PM proximity??? Just put AM or PM right dead center of the clock!

I already knew what you meant.  I don't want AM and PM to show in the same area, because the "A" and the "P" are not enough of a visual cue, via peripheral vision (or even when looking at directly) to tell which is in effect at the moment.

It is also, to me, a secondary piece of info that I'd like to get without looking at directly, and without it being the thing that is the most prominent.

In any clock of ever owned, AM/PM was never the prominent piece of information on the face of the clock.  Off to the side makes more sense to me because, really, when have I ever not known whether it is currently AM or PM.  Maybe many moons ago when I used to go on regular benders ...
