Let me suggest giving the basic SIN/COS tutorial below a quick run.  It doesn't just try to give you some SUB to magically toss out the solution for you; it attempts to help you understand the WHY and HOW such a solution is possible:

Use keyboard up/down arrows to scroll up/down on the various pages, left/right arrows to move between pages.   IIRC, it's only about 3 pages of information, and it should explain WHAT SIN/COS is, HOW it's related to both triangles and circles, and HOW/WHY to make use of them in your programs, as long as the basic formulas that you're looking for.

I have got a version working but yours looks great. I have now got them rotating around the circle so they can be shot out. I hold them all in one variable and rotate the circle using left$ and right$. Just three simple vars to move will rotate clockwise and anticlockwise. I only have to change one var to show or hide any single one. I am thinking of doing 4 rings. Maybe they get brighter and spin faster as they get closer to the centre. Also shrink rather then join together as space runs out

curious why your inva.png image doesn't need _clearcolor to make background color transparent? oh you switched to transparent (white)
