Where did over 160 users suddenly come from?

If the forum has become so popular, that would be good, but are they all real?

At the bottom on the main page. More than likely search and AI bots trolling around the system sucking up that sweet, sweet training data.

From the way it looks to me, they're hitting every topic we have, so I'd guess someone is cloning the forums and using a bot that's grabbing 100 files at once, or some such.  I'm kinda surprised they've been at it as long as they have though.   Overall, their bandwidth is probably fairly low, so the download speed isn't that fast, even if they're hitting a couple of dozen topics at a time.

I wonder if entries in robots.txt could help alleviate this? I've noticed at times the forum being slow with so many unwarranted users on at a time. Heck, I think it was two days ago, I couldn't get the forum to load at all for about half an hour. I have no idea though if this was related to bots downloading pages like you're seeing or something at my end (although other pages loaded fine).

Looking at the IP addresses, the vast majority of them are related to: IP: 173.252.###.###

Doing a look up on them, they appear to be FACEBOOK.

Now why the crap would FaceBook be crawling our little site? Are they starting to do web mirrors oe some such now? Or getting into the AI game? Or what?

Yeah, they've been in the AI game for a while now, I think they call their AI LLama (which is appropriate as they spit in your face).
