#1
Hi,

I had an idea that is such::

In Alt-F recent list could you add Delete key to remove an item!?

Erik.

I don't know about Alt+F for delete but having a Delete function would be handy along with a Rename function.
Specially right after you've read through the bas file in the IDE, better than Windows Explorer.

And so many times I've started a file under a name just to save work only later to find the name becomes horrible for the code finally developed, quite like the Title for this thread (the subject has little to do with Recent Files). This is about the File Dialog window and what can be done with it, IMO.

Are you wanting to delete them because you've renamed the file outside of QB64? If so, simply clicking the item will prompt for removal from the list if it can't be found.

No I want to delete a file because it was a waste of time or most likely I started a better one under a new name.

@bplus I should have specified that I was talking to Eric.

sOK my reason is great enough to include Eric's needs and wants. Smile

Sounds like @bplus wants a Favorites List moreso than a Recent List.

?

No I want an option to delete (or rename) a file I just looked at in the IDE and see that either it is no longer needed or it would do better long term with a better filename.

And we haven't begun talking about moving a file from one folder to another ;-)) because again it would do better long term to be filed in a better location.

By better, I mean easier to remember and more organized for faster finding. With 1000's of files it's getting harder to find something I barely recall from memory.
