A funny thing happened on the way to the Forum...
#1
My system has suddenly decided to show the Windows list of operations when I run a QB64PE .BAS programme. I have made no changes to my setup (other than editing one of my .BAS progs), so I don't understand why this has happened.
the listing it shows is this:

0.00100] INFO libqb internal\c/libqb.cpp: main: 28641: Program starting.
[0.38100] INFO libqb internal\c/qbx.cpp: QBMAIN: 1740: QB64 code starting.

which seems "normal" to me, but was not usually shown previously. Is this something I can turn off?

Isn't that from RUN ---- CONFIGURE LOGGING?

Turn off your logging level

I can only speak for myself but things have gotten strange since the last Windows 11 update with messages about needing to reboot for a BIOS update and then it takes forever to restart, and also slowdowns from a couple programs I've been using forever, where MsMpEng.exe takes up lots of memory and it takes forever for task manager to open. I'm not sure whether it's some new bug, false positives from new Windows Defender update, or the computer is infected. I hear Windows 10 extended updates were strange for some people too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I haven't noticed anything different about update notices etc. They still arrive much more frequently than I 'd like, and they're generally a pain.
(by the way I liked your "hands in the air" string - raised a much-needed smile)!
